Welcome to the Leidse Schouwburg!
The Leidse Schouwburg is a spacious and welcoming theatre in Leiden,
a town close to Amsterdam. Officially opened in 1705, it is the oldest
theatre in the Netherlands. Every season the schouwburg offers a varied
selection of performances, from comedy to drama, from music to dance;
the choices are numerous. This season the Leidse Schouwburg will host a
series of 'Language no problem' performances (listed below) that are suitable for foreign guests.
